Water Damage Restoration

Direct Insurance Relationships

Once instructed by the property occupier to undertake work, Certified Restoration will undertake property remediation work at its own expense and risk. This is because we have worked with insurers previously and are confident that our work will be approved by them and that our costs are industry standard. 

Water Extraction

We are able to undertake water pump-out and extraction in the event of flooding. This is done with powerful and quiet pumps in order to remove surface water as quickly as possible before the drying and dehumidification process commences. 

Cleaning and Sanitization

Following fire or water damage it is essential to clean, deodorize and disinfect the property. This is to reduce the chance of contaminants causing mould and deterioration of the property and also adversely affecting health. 

We undertake cleaning, sanitization and deodorization with the highest specification chemicals from our supplier Chemspec. Their latest product ‘Formula 429’ and the super-concentrated ‘Formula 429PLUS’ were developed for the industry’s most challenging odors; death scenes, sewage backflows, mould caused by water damage and other sources. These EN Certified and health service approved products have proved very effective in our experience. 

Mould Remediation

Using damp assessment techniques it is possible to ascertain the cause of mould problems. Most often due to condensation or rising damp, eradication of mould is required with urgency in order to remove danger or mould spores. We provide a mould identification and diagnostic service and will advise on or undertake mould remediation and removal. 

Content Removal & Restoration

In the event that your home or office accommodation has sustained severe damage, a content removal operation may be required as part of our emergency service process. This is the process of transferring contents to a secure plant and storage facility for cleaning and deodorizing. This ensures also that your contents do not suffer any further water or smoke damage. 

A contents removal operation will typically involve the following: 

1. Documentation by photographs and/or video. This ensures that items can be returned to their correct location after drying and cleaning.
2. Emergency items such as medication, clothing, eyewear etc will be identified at the beginning of the content removal, and set aside.
3. Important items should be kept separate from the removal. These include financial materials (chequebooks, credit cards etc) and jeweler and personal documents.
4. Boxes and packing materials used will be appropriate for the work being carried out, including the transportation and storage.
5. At the storage facility, the boxed items and furniture will be removed for cleaning, deodorization and repairs. After this they will be re-packaged.
6. Items unable to be stored will be listed, documented and discussed with the owner.
